The Colorado Buffaloes made a splash landing three-star offensive lineman Josiah Manu, after he decommitted from San Jose State, per Chad Simmons.
Manu, a standout at Thompson Valley High School, had been committed to the Spartans since early July. But after receiving an offer from CU, the 6-foot-5, 280-pound lineman decommitted from San Jose State and opted to stay home and play for the Buffaloes.
The Class of 2026 prospect is the 14th-ranked player in the state of Colorado and 108th at the offensive tackle position.

He also received offers from Fresno State, Arizona, and Wyoming prior to his commitment.
In recent years, Colorado has struggled protecting its quarterback, so the addition of Manu bolsters the offensive line in the future.
With Manu on board, Colorado continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail while addressing one of its biggest roster needs. His decision to decommit to stay home also signals the Buffaloes’ growing appeal to local prospects, a trend that could pay major dividends in the competitive Big 12 landscape.
The Buffaloes improved drastically in 2024, winning nine games and finishing 7-2 in Big 12 conference play. CU finished fifth in the conference in total offense in just their first season competing in the league.
Coach Prime and company will kick off the 2025 season at home against Georgia Tech on Aug. 29.
