UCF has clarified an original email that was sent out to some season ticket holders.
Per the Orlando Sentinel, the email told some season ticket holders that they were not eligible for relocation of seats for the 2025 season. It caused a lot of confusion among fans but UCF athletic director Terry Mohajir wants them to know that no season ticket holder is losing their seats for next season.
The email was intended for fans who only wanted to resell tickets since the athletic department doesn't allow fans to sell tickets on the secondary market.
"Dear Knight Nation, I want to acknowledge that we missed the mark yesterday in clearly communicating with some season ticket holders. The email was intended to reach only those accounts who purchase season tickets with the sole intent to resell. Unfortunately, the email went to 600 accounts, some of which were misidentified as ticket brokers," part of Mohajir's statement read.
“For those of you who received the email from our ticket office, I apologize for any confusion it has caused. “To be clear, no season ticket holder is losing their seats or discounts. Our intent is to prioritize dedicated fans by offering upgrade opportunities to those who actively use their tickets before potential brokers, while also accommodating as many fans as possible from our 2,500-seat waitlist. As the stadium evolves, we want UCF fans in our best seats."

Now that this is cleared up, fans can go back to being excited about the 2025 season. UCF finished the 2024 season with a 4-8 record and is looking to bounce back in a big way this year.
Before the 2024 season, UCF had made a bowl game in eight straight seasons, including the Fiesta Bowl in 2018 and the Peach Bowl in 2017.
