There is a ton of discussion on social media surrounding the New Orleans Saints' first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. They sit at ninth overall currently. New Orleans can go in a lot of different directions in round one, including quarterback.

After the latest update on Derek Carr's injury, the possibility of taking a QB early in the draft feels much higher. Betting odds would agree, and that sentiment grows on social media, according to many NFL analysts.

Deion Sanders teases Saints' pick

The Colorado Buffaloes head coach and father of Shedeur Sanders, a top QB prospect in the 2025 class, used the classic eyeballs emoji after seeing a post about the Saints' ninth pick. The Saints are currently the favorites to pick Sanders.

Of course, this post from the NFL legend only stirs the pot for the hype around New Orleans' selection. They may not select a QB, but it is hard to imagine them not addressing the position early on somehow because of Carr's injury.

Derek Carr may be out for the season with a shoulder injury. The New Orleans Saints should Draft Shedeur Sanders. Give him Chris Olave, Brandin Cooks, Shaheed, Kamara, an improved O-Line and a veteran defense that is ready to win. The Saints need a spark. Shedeur is that spark. -- Robert Griffin III

Saints insider Nick Underhill has also noted that the Saints have known about this update on Carr. This latest report is not a surprise for them, while it definitely is for their entire fan base and most of the NFL world - in general.

We will see what the Saints decide to do in round one. Regardless, Kellen Moore has plenty of pressure on him in his first draft as an NFL head coach.
