Complete round of 32 schedule and matchups

With the final matches of the group stage finishing on Saturday, it’s time to look at the 16 matches that will take place during the first round of the knockout stages.

Sunday, June 28

Sunday’s slate sees just one match between Canada and South Africa at 3 p.m.

For both nations, this match marks the first time either has advanced to the knockout stages of a World Cup and will see one of them advance to the round of 16 for the first time ever.

Monday, June 29th

Monday’s matches will open at 1 p.m. with Brazil vs. Japan.

followed by Germany vs. Paraguay at 4:30 p.m.

And finishing with the Netherlands vs Morocco at 9 p.m.

Tuesday June 30th

Ivory Coast and Norway will get the games started on Tuesday, with their match kicking off at 1 p.m.

At 5 p.m. France and Sweden will follow suit.

And rounding off the day, Ecuador will face Mexico at 9 p.m.

Wednesday, July 1

Wednesday’s matches will open to England and the Democratic Republic of the Congo facing off at noon.

Then, Belgium and Senegal will square off at 4 p.m.

And finishing the night, the U.S. will take on Bosnia and Herzegovina at 8 p.m.

Thursday, July 2

Following their chaotic draw against Algeria on Saturday, Austria will face Spain at 3 p.m. to start the penultimate matchday for the round of 32.

Portugal and Croatia will continue the European theme with their face off taking place at 7 p.m.

Switzerland and Algeria will end Thursday with some late-night action, kicking off at 11 p.m.

Friday, July 3

The final match day for the round of 32 will open with Australia and Egypt at 2 p.m.

A true David vs. Goliath showdown will start at 6 p.m., with Cabo Verde looking to pull off the largest upset in World Cup history. Facing off against defending champions Argentina.

The final match for the round of 32 will see Colombia and Ghana square off at 9:30 p.m.
