It has been a long time between NFL drinks for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, having not seen the field since Week 9 of last season against the Atlanta Falcons.
Now, with Prescott and his teammates going through training camp and three preseason games, we are under two weeks away from the season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Dak, as expected, didn't see any action in the Cowboys' three preseason games, so you can bet he is a little antsy to get back out on the field.
“I'm excited,” Prescott said. “It's been a while since being out there, but a lot's went into it, getting back on the field and then a lot's went into just this off season. Obviously the changes that we've had here, with the head coach to successful offseason to now, feeling good about closing the book on training camp and moving forward and making this thing all about Philly and getting the ball rolling. So super excited.”
The Cowboys' offense throughout the offseason has been rather vanilla, with head coach Brian Schottenheimer stating most of the clubs would be in the bag, so the team doesn't show its hand prior to the regular season beginning.
Prescott will be looking to start the season in good form, and while some are skeptical that the Cowboys will go toe-to-toe with the Eagles due to a lack of playing time in preseason, but Dak has been here before.
And he's ready to get 2025 rolling in Philadelphia.
