Cowboys' Micah Parsons Now NFL's Last Contract Domino To Fall With Trey Hendrickson Deal

It has been quite the Monday in NFL circles with two long-standing contract disputes being solves as Terry McLaurin and perhaps more important, Trey Henderickson both signing new deals.

Now, Dallas Cowboys' Micah Parsons should be next, right?

With the sagas of McLaurin and Henderickson running alongside Micah, there was a thought, that in Trey's case at least, Parsons' agent, David Mulugheta, might have been holding back on the contract talks for "more leaves to fall" in the edge rusher market.

Henderickson, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, will get a $14 million pay rise, which will see him make $30 million in 2025 with a chance to then go to the free agent market next offseason.

If there ever was a time for Parsons and Co. to work out a deal, now is the time.

All the holdout/hold-in dominos have fallen, and Micah is the only one left.

Given that some thought the reason for the contract delay was that Micah and his reps were waiting for T.J. Watt, Myles Garrett, and Henderickson to see where their contracts landed, now, we know.

So surely the time is now to put aside the childish behavior, act like professionals, and thrash out this deal.

Parsons is running out of practices in an attempt to be "football ready" in Week 1, and the Henderickson news might have been just the thing to finally push talks forward.

There isn't anything else to wait for, and in truth, there hasn't been anything to wait for before Henderickson's deal.

Micah is the last man standing.
