Cowboys' Traeshon Holden Makes 53-Man Roster Push In Rams Preseason Loss

Dallas Cowboys undrafted rookie free agent receiver Traeshon Holden stated in training camp that he was "coming for heads," and after his exploits in the 31-21 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium, some of his teammates might be looking nervously over their shoulders.

Knowing that Holden would be suiting up, fans didn't get to see the former Oregon star until the fourth quarter, but goodness me, Traeshon picked up right where he left off in training camp.

After putting together a good week of practice, when Holden hit the field at SoFi, Joe Milton hit him for a quick seven-yard pass, and a couple of plays later, delivered a delightful ball that Holden would turn into a 35-yard gain.

Yeah, Holden stood out.

It was a little odd that we had to wait until the fourth quarter to see Holden, given how he had performed in camp, but with Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, Ryan Flournoy, and Jonathan Mingo ahead of him, he had to bide his time.

But against the Baltimore Ravens next week, we imagine that Holden will see the field far earlier than the fourth quarter.

Having been sitting on the sidelines for three quarters, when his number was called, not only did he run crisp routes, but he completed the catches to keep Dallas in favorable down and distance.

His 35-yard reception helped set up Milton's touchdown pass to tight end Rivaldo Fairweather, with Holden's stock likely skyrocketing.

Yes, it is only preseason, but Holden was determined to make a name for himself this offseason, and on just two catches, he might have done it.
