The golf world is buzzing with excitement as the Creator Classic at Philly Cricket presented by YouTube tees off on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. This event, the second in the season-long Creator Classic Series presented by YouTube, brings together eight prominent golf content creators and four well-known YouTubers for a unique team competition at The Philadelphia Cricket Club’s iconic Wissahickon Course. Held on the eve of the Truist Championship, the Creator Classic promises to blend golf, entertainment, and digital star power in a way that’s sure to captivate fans both on-site and online.

What Is the Creator Classic Series?

Started in March 2025 with its first event of the season at TPC Sawgrass, the Creator Classic Series is a groundbreaking initiative by the PGA TOUR to engage a diverse audience through digital content creators. Following the success of the inaugural event, which garnered 55 million users and 90 million impressions across social platforms, the Creator Classic at Philly Cricket aims to build on that momentum. A third event is scheduled later this year at the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club, with details to be announced.

Chris Wandell, PGA TOUR Senior Vice President of Media, highlighted the event’s appeal: “The series continues to attract a diverse range of fans to the PGA TOUR platform... and we are eager to watch it grow further at The Philadelphia Cricket Club.”

Star-Studded Field and Team Format

The Creator Classic at Philly Cricket features a dynamic lineup of participants. YouTube sensations such as Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag (founder of 100 Thieves), technology influencer Marques Brownlee (MKBHD), Tyler Toney of Dude Perfect, and Josh Richards of the BFFs podcast will join forces with top golf content creators. Returning from the first event are Paige Spiranac, alongside Good Good Golf’s Brad Dalke and Sean Walsh

New faces include Sabrina Andolpho (Golf Girl Games), Erik Anders Lang (Random Golf Club), Claire Hogle, Josh Kelley (@HoleIn1TrickShots), and Matt Scharff (Good Good Golf).

The competition will unfold over nine holes (Nos. 10-17) in an alternate shot, gross score format. Four three-person teams—each consisting of one YouTuber and two golf creators—will battle it out, with the top two teams advancing to a sudden-death playoff on the par-4 18th hole.

Groupings and tee times will be revealed on May 6, and fans can catch the team unveilings on April 28 through Dan Rapaport’s digital series, Dan on Golf.

Experience the Creator Classic Live or Online

Fans with Wednesday grounds tickets to the Truist Championship can witness the Creator Classic at Philly Cricket in person. For those tuning in from home, the event will be streamed live on the PGA TOUR’s YouTube channel, ESPN+, Peacock, and the PGA TOUR Channel across various platforms, including Pluto TV, Roku, Samsung TV Plus, Prime Video, Fire TV, Tubi, Xumo Play, and LG Channels.

Produced by Pro Shop Studios, the team behind Netflix’s Full Swing and Happy Gilmore 2, in partnership with PGA TOUR Studios, the broadcast will feature high-quality production. Expect live ShotLink scoring powered by CDW, Trackman shot tracing (including drone footage), and vibrant on-screen graphics to enhance the viewing experience.

Chad Mumm, co-founder of Pro Shop, emphasized the event’s unique charm: “The Creator Classic Series is about shining a spotlight on dynamic creators and their relatable personalities more so than witnessing world-class golf shots or success on the course.”
