One of the greatest NASCAR films, Days of Thunder, starring Tom Cruise, was a commercial hit, achieving great viewership around the world. As the American sport continues to gain traction in recent years, rumors have surfaced about a potential sequel titled Days of Thunder 2, with Cruise possibly returning to the screen. I loved Days of Thunder. I thought it was cool, The rumors around a second one? I’m down. We’ll see. I’m curious if [Tom Cruise] is still driving in Days of Thunder 2, of if he’s the owner now.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. remained reminiscent of his father in the sport and attempted to extend his legacy in NASCAR. Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed his true intent behind working on a docuseries based on his father and his NASCAR career. The 50-year-old emphasizes that he is most excited for the young generation of the sport to witness the series. The Hall of Famer asserted that while people were respectful of Dale Sr.’s legacy, they did not witness his races firsthand. As such, Junior attempted to get people as close to the real feeling as possible by the DocuSeries ‘Earnhardt’.
I am most excited for someone like you [a young interviewer] to see this because much like my wife, you’ll never meet him. You’ll never be able to be in the same room with him. But I want to show you or get you as close as possible to that.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. told USA Today.
