The Tennessee Volunteers were on a bye on Saturday, but that didn't mean that a notable football player didn't don a Tennessee Vols jersey on the way to a game.
Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was shown by the Dallas Cowboys' official Twitter/X account as heading to the airport for their road game against the New York Jets in a Tennessee Vols jersey. Specifically, it's #7, the number in college of his current teammate and Dallas backup quarterback Joe Milton III.

As the screen indicates, it's not hard to figure out why Prescott donned the jersey, which was surely the result of a friendly bet between himself and Milton from last week's game. The Vols defeated the Bulldogs 41-34 in overtime in Starkville.
Prescott was Mississippi State's quarterback from 2012 to 2015. He appeared in 49 games over 4 years for the Bulldogs, helping lead State to the top spot in the first-ever College Football Playoff rankings during the 2014 season. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round with the 135th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Milton is the latest in a recent run of former Vols to win bets with their NFL teammates thanks to Tennessee's success on Saturday. Trey Smith and Jerod Mayo have enforced it on players, among other former Vol standouts on their teammates.
It's a trend that Tennessee fans certainly hope continues, as it means the Vols have been doing good things on the field.
