Darren Till is livid with Tommy Fury for backing out of their scheduled fight.
'The Gorilla' hasn't had much luck with his boxing career since parting ways with the UFC almost two years ago. While he does have a 1-0 record inside the ring, the scouser's last two fights have had cancelations—leaving him without a matchup for months.
Despite everything moving in the right direction regarding the bout, Darren Till's comments caused Tommy Fury to withdraw from the fight.
Till claimed that, if he was on his way to losing the fight, nothing could stop him from throwing a head kick. This didn't sit well with the Fury camp; later resulting in 'TNT' pulling out of their January 18 clash.
Since then, Till hasn't minced his words regarding the news of his fight cancelation.
"I said from the start, from the get-go, that Tommy Fury was going to pull out," Till said. "I've given him this excuse to pull out with this head kick [comment]."
"We've all seen black and white footage of him saying he was going to elbow KSI. He was practicing elbows on the bag. There's a video where John Fury's telling him to elbow in a fight, I've got that footage."
Till believes Fury pulled out for different reasons.
"It's just an excuse. I think what's happened is rumors have been flying around [about] how I'm looking in the gym, how I'm sparring."
"[Then] they've thought, let's f*** that off, and let's go for an easier fight with Jake Paul, which Jake Paul is the easier fight."
"That's the truth deep down, Tommy knows it. How can Tommy and his dad look in the mirror? They're not a fighting family."
Tempers flared between Till and the Fury family at their recent press conference, though this isn't the first controversial moment the Liverpool native has had in his short boxing career.
In his only appearance in the boxing ring, the Brit was involved in a post-fight brawl after an unusual ending to his debut.
