Darren Waller releases controversial video about Kelsey Plum

Soon after the wedding, Darren Waller would be traded to the New York Giants for a third-round draft pick in 2023. It was a turning event for the couple as they both played for professional sports teams in Las Vegas. Now this relationship would have to transition to being more often long distance.

Waller has developed a resume of songs as he pursues his career in music. He recently released a new song titled, “Who Knew”.

“Why you want to run away, why can’t you just stay,” Waller sang.

In the video there is also a clear attempt to have a woman who resembles Kelsey Plum. Through the title and lyrics, it is clear that this song is Waller’s reaction to the divorce.

In the end of the video, the Plum lookalike literally stabs Waller in the back with a knife while they embraced each other. She walks away and Waller drops to the ground and a closeup shows the pain in his face from the betrayal.

There has not been most direct discussion about the divorce from either side to this point. It will be interesting to see if Plum will address this to the media. Waller is also currently contemplating if he should retire from the NFL this season.
