Colorado head coach Deion Sanders and son, quarterback Shedeur seem to be attempting to play their cards right in Las Vegas.
If the NFL season ended today, the Las Vegas Raiders would have the No. 2 pick overall pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
Coach Prime has mentioned in multiple interviews that he thinks the Raiders would be a good organization for his son Shedeur to join.
According to nbcsports.com and si.com a video surfaced from the Rao’s Super Bowl pop-up in Las Vegas from February 2024, Sanders and Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce shared the stage together. Sanders had high praise for Coach Pierce saying “You are truly the best. Now I just need you to do one thing: I need you to draft those Sanders boys.”
Coach Prime has two sons who play for him at Colorado, Shiloh is the older of the two Sanders brothers, by two years. He plays safety for the Buffs, but he is not considered a high-draft prospect like his brother Shedeur.
The way Coach Prime has worked it out in his grand scheme of things, is that he would love a team, preferably the Raiders to pick up Shedeur in the first round and take Shiloh in a later round.
It’s to their advantage who their father is. He’s an NFL Hall of Famer who has a lot of pull around the league/
The perfect example of what Sanders is trying to do is pull an Eli and Archie Manning. If you remember the night that Eli Manning was drafted, he was initially drafted by the San Diego Chargers, but calls were made by his father Archie to get him traded to the New York Giants. The move proved successful for Manning and the Giants. Manning would go on and win two Super Bowls with the Giants.
If Deion Sanders has his way, the same thing may happen with the Raiders.
