Hold onto your helmets, folks, because Delta Force is officially back from the dead! The legendary tactical shooter that probably ate up way too much of your time in the early 2000s has been resurrected as a free-to-play, team-based extravaganza. And yes, it’s bringing all the explosive, chaotic goodness you remember, but with a fresh coat of next-gen paint.

TiMi Studio Group is bringing this classic back to the forefront, and it seems they’re throwing everything but the kitchen sink into this revival. I mean, a bow and arrow in a modern shooter? You have my attention.

What’s in the New Delta Force?

The game is launching with three distinct modes to sink your teeth into. First up is Warfare, a massive 32v32 PvP mode that promises epic battles across land, sea, and air. Think huge maps, tons of vehicles, and enough tactical gear to make you feel like a kid in a candy store.

Next, we have Operations, which sounds like their spin on the extraction shooter genre. You and your squad will drop behind enemy lines, hunt for loot, and try to get out before another team puts you on a t-shirt. There’s also a PvE Raid mode for those who prefer to team up against AI baddies.

Black Hawk Down is Back, Baby!

But here’s the kicker, the part that has my nostalgia meter going off the charts: a full remake of the classic Black Hawk Down campaign. Based on the iconic 2001 movie, this mode lets you step into the boots of legendary Delta Force operators. Let’s just hope it captures the same gritty, heart-pounding tension of the original.

The developers are promising a “NO PAY-TO-WIN” experience, which is a relief in the F2P space. With a dedicated anti-cheat team, they’re aiming for fair play. So, gather your squad and get ready to not be left behind. Delta Force is available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Time to see if it lives up to the legend.
