PHOENIX — Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll made franchise history on Sunday afternoon, becoming the first player to have three consecutive 20-home run and 20-stolen base seasons.
The All-Star stole two bases against the Cincinnati Reds, bringing his stolen base total to 20 with 27 home runs this season. The milestone sets him as the only player to achieve the feat in a D-Backs uniform.
Carroll has been an essential part of the team since his rookie season in 2023, combining power and speed that few players have been able to achieve. He was unanimously voted as the National League Rookie of the Year in 2023 after completing a 25-50 season, with 25 home runs and 54 stolen bases.
Last year, despite a slow first half of the season, Carroll went on to secure a 20-30 season with 22 home runs and 35 stolen bases.
His third consecutive 20-20 season wasn’t the only history-making feat he achieved in Sunday’s game.
Carroll is the first player since Jimmy Rollins in 2007 to record 25+ home runs, 20+ stolen bases and 15+ triples in a single season. The All-Star outfielder’s 16 triples this year lead the MLB and are also a franchise single-season record.

The achievement further cements Carroll as one of the Diamondbacks’ most dynamic power-speed threats and he’s just getting started.
