Dime’s Latest Vans Collab Proves Simple Tweaks Make Big Differences

Over the past few years, Dime and Vans have teamed up to reimagine a handful of classic Vans silhouettes, but their latest upcoming collab is taking things in an entire new direction. Enter the Dime x Vans Skate Era Stub—a fresh twist on a Vans' iconic Era, and one that definitely stands out as far as their collaborative history is concerned.

In true Dime fashion, the squad got together and dropped a comical little edit to give us a little taste before the shoes drop on August 30th. How exactly did they reimagine the Era, you might be wondering? Well, that's why we're here. Take a look:

The Vans Era has always been a staple—in and out of skateboarding. It's just a classic shoe, you know?

But the Dime crew gave it their own stamp by redesigning the lace system. Instead of the usual five lace holes you’d expect on a Vans Era, we learn that the Stub features eight—giving the shoe a completely different look and feel while still keeping its timeless DNA front and center.

It might just be a subtle little switch, sure, but one that really shines some light on Dime’s eye for detail. Hey, consider me interested.

When it comes to collaborations, Vans and Dime have proven time and time again that they know how to hit the sweet spot. This reimagined Era Stub is no exception.
