Geraci Carson reported an offer from Alabama football Saturday ahead of visiting the Crimson Tide.
Carson is a sophomore at Lanier High School in Jackson, Mississippi. He now holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Miami, Texas A&M and several others. He considers his Alabama offer to be a significant one, based on the history and tradition of the program.
“I’m really grateful for the opportunity,” Carson told Touchdown Alabama. “It means a lot to be recognized by a program at that level. I’ve put in a lot of work to get here, but I know there’s still more to do. Alabama has built a culture of winning, and with that comes a lot of history and responsibility. If you go there, you have to be ready to carry that standard.”
The Crimson Tide is expected to get Carson on campus in the upcoming week as it continues spring practice.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder is a disruptive force upfront for Lanier. His sophomore film is filled with him living in the opponent’s backfield.
