Duke's radio announcers were demanding a technical foul after UConn's game-winning shot on Sunday night.
UConn, the No. 2 seed in the East Region, shocked No. 1 seed Duke in the Elite Eight on Sunday evening. Dan Hurley's team is off to the Final Four, while Jon Scheyer's team is going home early.
Duke, leading by two points, turned the ball over with 10 seconds remaining. Braylon Mullins, a freshman guard, drilled the game-winning 3-pointer with 0.4 seconds left on the clock.
As the shot went in, part of UConn's bench streamed onto the floor, celebrating. They quickly realized the game wasn't over and made their way back to the bench. This happens on most near-buzzer beaters. Technical fouls are basically never called.

However, Duke's radio announcers wanted one.
David Shumate was on the call for Duke's radio broadcast:
Shumate: “Seven seconds, tried to throw it ahead, deflected! Stolen by Connecticut! Two seconds! IT’S MULLINS UP TOP FOR THE WIN! Oh, he hit it, with three-tenths of a second to go! MALACHI SMITH RAN OFF THE BENCH! That should be a technical, but with three-tenths of a second to go, Connecticut has the lead, 73-72.”
Meanwhile, Mike Crispino was on the call for UConn.
Crispino: “Boozer, AND A STEAL! MULLINS GETS IT! IT’S KARABAN TO MULLINS, LONG-RANGE THREE! OOOOOH! IT WENT IN! MULLINS DELIVERS! BEDLAM! BEDLAM HERE!.. ABSOLUTE BEDLAM AS MULLINS THREW A 45-FOOTER IN!”

This will be the kind of game that lives on forever. It was that epic.
