Duquesne’s football program is on a red-hot seven-game winning streak after beating Robert Morris over the weekend.
Sitting at 7-2 overall, the Dukes are undefeated (4-0) in Northeast Conference play. They have also not yet lost a game to an FCS program, which only three other programs can say. Now, the Dukes are ranked highly in several polls due to their strong start to the season. Duquesne is ranked No. 21 in the AFCA Coaches Poll and No. 22 in the Stats Perform Poll.
Duquesne now looks ahead to its next game against Wagner at 12 p.m. est. on Saturday.

In addition, Central Arkansas, Drake, William and Mary, Tennessee State, North Carolina Central, North Dakota, Northern Arizona, East Tennessee State, Southeastern Louisiana, and Eastern Kentucky received votes in the poll.
“I was impressed with our team, with the way they prepared, I was really impressed with our practice this week,” Duquesne head coach Jerry Schmitt told reporters following the win. “They practiced really with a pace of about them and an intent about them, preparing for this game, probably because it was for first place. Realistically, in the conference, every week is a playoff game right now, you can’t lose. You need to keep playing and keep winning.”
