DWCS 79, week three of the ninth season of Dana White’s Contender Series, is almost here. Earlier Monday morning, the 10 fighters booked to appear on tomorrow night’s show, tipped the scales for the official weigh-in window.
Unlike the weigh-ins of a week ago, there were no issues on the scales this Monday. It was also one of the more orderly weigh-in windows that you’ll ever see.
All 10 fighters competing this week successfully hit their contracted targets. More impressively, the weigh-ins took a blistering seven minutes to complete this morning.
As far as the coverage of tomorrow night’s event, it’ll begin at the customary airtime of 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT. If you’re watching from inside the United States, ESPN+ will carry the show from the first punch thrown to the final contract awarded by UFC CEO Dana White at the end of the show.
As previously mentioned, all 10 contestants on DWCS 79 made weight at the first time of asking in a matter of minutes. The headliner matching Ryan Gandra (184 lbs) with Trent Miller (184 lbs) will proceed after both contestants weighed-in within the 186-lb nontitle maximum for the middleweight division.
Your co-main attraction is locked in upon the close of the weigh-in window today. Featherweights Marcio Barbosa (145 1/2 lbs) and Damon Wilson (145 1/2 lbs) came in under the 146-lb nontitle limit. All fights on DWCS 79 are an advertised maximum of three rounds at five minutes per round.
