DWCS Week 3 Results: Five contracts awarded

The third week of this season Dana White's Contender Series took place on Tuesday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The five-bout fight card featured 10 hopefuls trying to fight their way to a UFC contract. 

The fight card was headlined by a middleweight bout between Ryan Gandra and Trent Miller. Gandra stopped Miller with punches midway through the opening round. The win and performance was enough to earn Gandra a contract. 

All five winners from the fight card received UFC contracts. Joining Gandra was Marcio Barbosa, Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev, Manoel Sousa, and Donte Johnson.

  • Marcio Barbosa def. Damon Wilson via TKO (punches) at 4:14, Round 1
  • Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev def. Alik Lorenz via TKO (punches) at 0:30, Round 1
  • Manoel Sousa def. Cristian Perez via TKO (punches) at 3:00, Round 3
  • Donte Johnson def. Darion Abbey via TKO (punches) at 1:04, Round 1
