Former George guard Dylan Fairchild had the right answer ready to roll when asked about protecting Joe Burrow on the interior of the Bengals' offensive line.
The 81st pick in the 2025 NFL draft said he's honored to block for the quarterback.
"Oh, it's an honor. It’s an honor," Fairchild told the media on Friday night. "And it's something that I'm going to live and die by every single day. It’s the biggest honor of my life. And I'm just super excited to do it. Again, I'm gonna live by the sword and die by the sword and give my all every single day to do so."
The veteran offensive tackle played left guard nearly his whole career at Georgia (1,240 career snaps) and now could reunite with Amarius Mims on the right side when the position shuffle settles by the end of training camp.
New offensive line coach Scott Peters has another piece to solve the so-far tough puzzle of protecting Burrow.
