Madden 26 drops August 14, and EA’s latest round of player ratings for the Los Angeles Rams is… mostly sane. Matthew Stafford clocks in at an 88 overall, finally getting the respect he’s been owed since 2021. He’s the fifth-best QB in the game, which feels about right—until you look at Jimmy Garoppolo’s 67 and wonder if EA forgot he’s still one of the league’s better backups.
Stetson Bennett sits at 62, which is generous if you’ve watched preseason.
Davante Adams lands a 90 overall, while Puka Nacua trails just behind at 88. That’s a solid duo, but to be honest—Nacua’s 93 speed and breakout season should’ve earned him parity. Tutu Atwell gets a 75, and the rest of the WR depth chart drops off fast. Britain Covey at 65? Brutal.
Still, Adams and Nacua are going to be absolute nightmares in-game. Deep threat, contested catch, route running—pick your poison.
Kyren Williams earns an 86 overall, tied for fourth-highest on the team. His speed rating? Just 86. So if you’re looking for breakaway runs, Jarquez Hunter’s 91 speed is your ticket. Blake Corum and Cody Schrader round out the RB room in the low 70s, which feels about right for rookies and rotational guys.
Tyler Higbee leads the TE group with a 77 overall, but his 81 speed means you’re not breaking many seams. Colby Parkinson and Terrance Ferguson sit in the 69–70 range, which is fine for blocking but not much else.
The offensive line, though? Surprisingly stacked. Kevin Dotson (85) and Rob Havenstein (84) anchor a unit where most starters sit above 73. That’s rare in Madden and means Stafford should have actual time to throw—assuming you’re not calling four verticals every play.
Kobie Turner (85), Braden Fiske (82), and Poona Ford (80) form a front three that’s going to wreck shop. Fiske’s 93 strength rating is the highest on the team, and Turner’s motor is already legendary. Depth falls off fast, but the starters are built for chaos.
Verse lands an 86 overall with a 90 strength rating, making him one of the most dangerous edge rushers in the game. Byron Young gets a respectable 78, but the rest of the outside linebacker group dips into the 60s. You’ll be leaning hard on Verse to generate pressure.
Inside linebackers Omar Speights (76) and Nate Landman (74) are solid, but not game-changers. Depth is thin, so don’t expect miracles.
Darious Williams (80), Ahkello Witherspoon (78), and Cobie Durant (76) form a solid top three at corner. Durant’s 93 speed makes him a menace in man coverage, and Williams isn’t far behind at 90.
But then there’s Quentin Lake. Rated just 75 overall, despite being one of the Rams’ most consistent defenders. Kamren Curl (79) and Kamren Kinchens (78) are fine, but Lake’s rating feels like a snub. Maybe EA thinks he’s a corner? Maybe they just forgot he exists?
Ethan Evans (76) and Joshua Karty (72) round out the kicking game, and yes—long snapper is now a real position. Alex Ward gets a 62, which is low, but at least we’re not assigning tight ends to snap punts anymore.
Madden 26’s Rams ratings are mostly solid, with Stafford, Adams, and Nacua getting their due. But Quentin Lake’s low score and Garoppolo’s backup disrespect stand out. The roster’s playable, the defense has bite, and the offensive line won’t collapse instantly—which is more than you can say for most Madden teams.
Just don’t expect EA to fix the snubs until next year. Or ever.
