The Maine Mariners have already lost some key pieces, with Jacob Hudson, Brooklyn Kalmikov, and Xander Lamppa all already signing overseas. Now they will see goalie Brad Arvanitis join them as he’s heading to the EIHL to play for the Guildford Flames. Arvanitis this season in 38 games for the Mariners went 22-11-4 with a 2.17 goals-against average, a .929 save percentage, and three shutouts. In four playoff games, he went 2-0-2 with a 3.17 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage. He was the ECHL goalie of the month for February this past season.

Arvanitis started his ECHL career with the Rapid City Rush, where in five games he went 3-1-1 with a 2.80 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage. In 2022-23, he spent time with three ECHL teams playing for the Rush, Tulsa Oilers, and Wichita Thunder. In four games, he went 0-3-0 with a 3.27 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage. He also played in 20 games in the SPHL with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Arvanitis went 9-6-2 with a 2.71 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. In two playoff games, he went 0-2-0 with a 2.57 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage.
He then spent the last three seasons in Maine, where he made 96 appearances, going 53-30-9 with a 2.56 goals-against average, a .919 save percentage, and four shutouts. In ten playoff games with Maine, he went 5-3-2 with a 2.30 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.
