Cincinnati Cyclones forward John Jaworski is heading overseas to Slovakia to join HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas after spending his rookie season in the ECHL. He is the second player who played in the ECHL last season to join HK 32 Liptovsky, joining defenseman Aidan De La Gorgenidere, who spent time with the Tahoe Knight Monsters. Jaworski, 26, had 15 goals and 20 assists for 35 points in 55 games with the Cyclones. He is the fifth player from the Cyclones to take the overseas route since the season ended.
Prior to going pro, the Grinnell, Iowa, native played two years of junior hockey. During the 2018-19 season, he had seven goals and 19 assists for 26 points in 58 games with the Northeast Generals (NAHL), while also playing in five playoff games. The following season, he had two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 41 games with the Chicago Steel (USHL). Jaworski would spend his college career at Sacred Heart University. Over the course of his five years with the Pioneers, he put up 35 goals and 53 assists for 88 points in 163 games. In 2024, he was named to the AHA Third All-Conference Team while also wearing an “A” for Sacred Heart.
