The Reading Royals have acquired forward Austin Saint from the Cincinnati Cyclones. Saint, 24, joins his third team this season after putting up two goals and four assists for six points in 23 games with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and Cincinnati Cyclones. The Bonnyville, Alberta, native has spent the majority of his young career with the Swamp Rabbits, where he put up 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points in 88 games. This doesn’t come as a surprise, as Reading has been very active on the trade market so far this season. He becomes the seventh new forward for the Royals in the last week. Expect Saint to find a role with the Royals in their bottom six.

Prior to joining Greenville, he spent two seasons playing for the Royal Military College (USports), where he had 30 goals and 22 assists for 52 points in 54 games. In each of his two seasons with the Paladins, he would lead the team in scoring. Saint began his hockey career in the AJHL, where he spent parts of five seasons with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, where he had 31 goals and 26 assists for 57 points in 94 games. In his only full season with Bonnyville, Saint had 23 goals and 17 assists for 40 points along with 109 PIMS in 55 games. He would add a goal and two assists for three points in nine playoff games with the Pontiacs.
