Trenton Ironhawks forward Reed Lebster is heading overseas to join the Schwenninger Wild Wings (DEL) after spending parts of three seasons in the ECHL. Lebster, 27, has spent the last two seasons in the ECHL with the Utah Grizzlies, where he’s put up 50 goals and 58 assists for 108 points in 139 games. His 31 goals would lead the Grizzlies, and he finished second in points behind Danny Dzhaniyev, who also went overseas this summer. He began his career with the Florida Everblades, where he played in five games during the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Lebster is the second player from the Utah Grizzlies/Trenton Ironhawks to head overseas since the season ended.
Prior to going pro, the Grand Rapids, Michigan, native spent three seasons in the USHL with the Des Moines Buccaneers. Over the course of his time with the Buccaneers, he had 43 goals and 37 assists for 80 points in 171 games. He would add four assists in seven USHL playoff games. Lebster would then take the NCAA route, spending his first four years of eligibility at UMass. In 112 games with the Minutemen, he had 28 goals and 29 assists for 57 points. Lebster won back-to-back National Championships in 2021 and 2022 with the Minutemen. For his final year of eligibility, he would return to his home state to join Michigan State University. In 35 games with the Spartans, he had six goals and 13 assists for 19 points.
