ECHL: Ross Armour Signs with Nottingham Panthers

The 26-year-old turned pro during the 2022–23 season following a four-year collegiate career at Bemidji State University in Minnesota. At Bemidji, Armour tallied 67 points (32G, 35A) across 159 NCAA games, earning a reputation for consistency and grit.

In the ECHL, Armour quickly found his stride. Over 95 professional games, he has notched 75 points (27 goals, 48 assists) with last season being a breakout campaign. Despite being limited to just 35 games, Armour recorded 32 points (16G, 16A), nearly averaging a point per game. He also led the Ghost Pirates with 12 power-play goals, underscoring his effectiveness in front of the net.

Panthers Head Coach Danny Stewart expressed enthusiasm about the addition, noting Armour’s scoring instincts and special teams impact:

“He’s got a real knack for scoring goals and gives us another net-front presence on the power play.”

Armour is equally excited for the move to the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), where he’ll join a Nottingham squad fresh off a championship season.

“It was awesome to see the Panthers have success in the playoffs and win that championship. I see Nottingham as a successful team and a place that can be a perfect fit for me,” Armour said. “I’m now super excited to be coming to Nottingham and have heard the Panthers crowd is amazing. I can’t wait to get there and start playing games.”

While Armour’s departure leaves big skates to fill in Savannah, his move to Nottingham marks an exciting new chapter.

He joins former Atlanta Gladiators forward Mitch Fossier, who re-signed with the Panthers earlier this summer for his second season with the club. Fossier made a significant impact during his first year in Nottingham, bringing high-level playmaking and leadership to the roster. The addition of Ross Armour adds another layer of offensive depth, giving the Panthers a strong North American presence as they look to defend their EIHL title.
