The Tennessee Vols are officially receiving an official visit from one of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class.

According to On3, 2025 five-star offensive lineman Josh Petty will take an official visit to Tennessee on June 7.

Most of the top programs in the nation are also in pursuit of Petty, including Ohio State, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas, Clemson, Oregon, and Florida State, among others.

Petty, 6-foot-5/262 lbs from Roswell, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Georgia. He's also rated as the No. 14 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.

The elite offensive lineman told On3 that he wants to commit to a school that makes him feel like a priority.

Petty, who hopes to commit before his senior season starts, also said he wants to feel "loved".

“I am hoping to make a decision before the season,” said Petty. “That is ideal for me, but if not, I will take more time. Where I go, I want to be loved. For it to be right, I want there to be love on both ends.”

Tennessee fans, along with the Vols' coaching staff, are "elite" when it comes to showing love (just ask UT quarterback Nico Iamaleava), so those comments from Petty certainly seem like a good sign for the Volunteers' chances in this recruiting battle.

Of course, the same can be said for plenty of other fan bases -- especially fan bases in the SEC -- so the Vols will definitely have to step up their game if they're going to land Petty.

Tennessee, by the way, is also in pursuit in 2025 five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr, the No. 2 overall recruit in the nation.

If the Vols can land one of Sanders/Petty, it will be considered a massive offseason win for Tennessee.
