Kamieon Compton-Nero is expected to announce a commitment on Nov. 13.
Compton-Nero is a 2028 four-star athlete out of Owasso High School in Oklahoma, and he currently garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites as an athlete. The junior is set to choose between Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and SMU.
Alabama hosted the talented player earlier this season, and he walked away impressed with the Crimson Tide.
“I love everything about Alabama; the tradition, the program, the development, school and coaching staff,” Compton-Nero said. “All of those reasons are why, along with Coach (Kalen) DeBoer, (Tony) Jones, and (Kane) Wommack pushing for me to play for Alabama and invest in me and my family. I talk to the staff several times a week, and they are really starting to dive into where and how I can help the team.”
Notre Dame is expected to host Compton-Nero this weekend. He previously visited Oklahoma, Ole Miss and SMU.
The 6-foot-3, 187-pounder is productive on both sides of the football for Owasso. The Crimson Tide feels his versatility would allow him to be a versatile defender in Tuscaloosa.
“They like my versatility and ability to work in a lot of spots in their defense; all safety spots and possibly nickel in time,” Compton-Nero told Touchdown Alabama. “They also know what I can do on the offensive side and not against me helping on that side if I can help the team.”
