It was a big recruiting weekend for the Ohio State Buckeyes, marking the first set of official visits for the summer in Columbus.
Ohio State currently has 13 commitments for the class of 2026 and holds the No. 3-ranked class in the country, according to 247Sports. Expect that number to rise in June as more recruits visit campus.
One of the weekend’s visitors was five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo, who made his official trip to Columbus. Offensive line coach Tyler Bowen and the rest of the staff appear to have done an excellent job hosting him.
“The family atmosphere and how the program is deeply centered in faith. Also, the offensive scheme fits and resembles my play style a lot. Overall it was a great visit,” Ojo told Hayes Fawcett of On3.

Ojo is ranked as the No. 2 offensive tackle and the No. 7 overall player in the country, per the 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot-6 lineman from Mansfield, Texas, is currently considered a strong lean toward Texas, but Ohio State is one of the programs that has made a real impression.
The Buckeyes recently missed out on Jackson Cantwell, which wasn’t a surprise. Ohio State typically doesn’t offer offensive linemen the kind of NIL deals that Cantwell reportedly received from Miami.
If Ohio State hopes to land Ojo, they’ll still need to present a competitive NIL package—though not on the same level as Cantwell’s. Ojo is set to take official visits to Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas throughout June.
The Buckeyes already have three offensive linemen committed in the 2026 class: Maxwell Riley and Sam Greer, both in-state prospects, and Tucker Smith, a three-star lineman from Arizona.
Ohio State has made its pitch to Ojo. Now, it’s a matter of seeing whether it was enough to sway him before he likely announces his decision ahead of his senior season.
