The top recruit in Minnesota's 2025 class, Emmanuel Karmo, announced on Thursday that he has closed his recruitment and that he remains committed to the Gophers.
The 6-foot-2 linebacker out of Robbinsdale Cooper announced Sunday that despite his previous verbal commitment to the Gophers, he would be taking official visits to Wisconsin, Ohio State and Nebraska in May and June.
Even before taking the first of those three visits, Karmo made his announcement Thursday in a social media post.
"It's been a good week for me to reflect in the recruiting process & ask myself what is important & what I really want with my recruitment," Karmo posted on his personal X account (formerly Twitter) on Thursday morning. "I came to the conclusion & notified other schools that UofMN is where my heart is & I would not be taking other OVs- recruitment closed #RTB"
