Walker Turner has announced a verbal commitment to the Samford Bulldogs.
Turner is a 2026 linebacker recruit from Enterprise High School in Alabama, and he chose the Bulldogs over Louisiana Monroe, North Alabama, Air Force and others. The rising senior is excited about his future with Samford.
“I chose Samford because it felt like home from day one,” Walker told Touchdown Alabama. “My mom is an alumnus and the moment I stepped on campus, I could truly see myself here for the next four years while growing as a person and making an impact on an already incredible program.”
The relationship with the coaching staff and the future of the program has Turner confident he can be successful at Samford.
“My relationship with the coaching staff has been amazing,” said Turner. “I have built a strong connection with them and can genuinely see myself playing for those guys. The visit went great and played a major role in my decision. Samford already has some talented players, and with even more great guys committed, I am excited to be part of the family and contribute to something special.”
The 6-foot-1 220-pounder recorded 136 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and six sacks last season.
