The Savannah Bananas have become impossible to ignore in the sports world and major media companies are starting to take notice.
24 hours removed from their widely-viewed appearance on "60 Minutes," ESPN has announced that it will air 10 Bananas games throughout the spring/summer as the barnstorming baseball team continues its 2025 campaign.
"The Savannah Bananas have mastered the art of blending baseball with entertainment, creating an experience that resonates with fans of all ages, regardless of their baseball knowledge," the network said in a release.
"Their unique approach embodies two of ESPN's key goals: reaching new audiences and inspiring the next generation of youth athletes. With Banana Ball showcased on ESPN and Disney linear and streaming platforms, we are confident new, avid fans will be created."
The Worldwide Leader has been broadcasting select Bananas events for a couple of years now but this new 10-game package is a different kind of commitment. Here's a look at full schedule below:
ESPN also promoted the new deal with a lengthy ad featuring "SportsCenter" hosts Gary Striewski and Randy Scott.
The Bananas have been selling out full football and baseball stadiums on their rise to the top, and it doesn't look like they'll be slowing down anytime soon.
