ESPN Is Getting Ripped For 'Awful' College Football Playoff Selection Show

It's a different kind of Selection Sunday today for college sports fans, but people aren't really loving it so far.

As the college football world awaits the final picks for the first ever 12-team Playoff bracket on ESPN, fans have taken to social media to bash the network for its "awful" selection show.

"13 minutes into the selection show and ESPN has already made it a funeral for Alabama," a user said.

"I'm asking nicely for ESPN to just release the CFP bracket already. To be 15 mins in and not a single team unveiled yet is ridiculous," another commented.

"@espn just announce the playoff teams already!!!" a fan exclaimed.

"Ahem…CBS has mastered giving us our basketball bracket right away. ESPN gonna drag this out when the drama has already been leaked out. Bama is not getting in. Just release the bracket," another replied.

"We are in the middle of a peculiar time warp, where ESPN is declining to give CFP field early in show while trying to stretch this 1 minute announcement into a 4 hour show, while @Brett_McMurphy already has said SMU made it over Alabama," Barry Jackson posted.

"This is THE WORST, #ESPN Announce the teams already!"

"Dear ESPN, We REALLY don't care about the talking points anymore," another person shared. "The bracket is already set. Can we stop arguing about hypotheticals now?"

We should be just minutes away from finding out exactly who's going to be participating in the inaugural expanded Playoff.

The committee certainly has some tough decisions to make. We'll see how it all shakes out once the group decides to publicly share its conclusions.
