While it's not as polarizing as the NFL's top 100 list, any recognition is always appreciated during the offseason. The ESPN NFL staff released their top 100 list before the 2025 NFL season, with several Eagles being recognized for their accomplishments during the 2024 championship season and their expected success in 2025.
The Eagles, per the opinion of ESPN writers Aaron Schatz, Ben Solak, Dan Graziano, Jeff Legwold, Jeremy Fowler, Liz Loza, Matt Bowen, Mike Clay, Seth Walder, and Stephen Holder, led the way with 10 players being selected to their top 100 list.
Dejean was not ranked in ESPN's 2024 top 100 list, however a strong playoff campaign, and the ability to play both nickel, and safety this year should expand his role in 2025.
2025 projected stats: 79 tackles, 12 PDs, 1 sack, 2 INTs
Dickerson has continued to dominate and earn multiple accolades and awards since coming into the league in 2021. He is coming off a minor knee surgery, but should be back to form once the regular season begins, adding value to a dominating offensive line.
With Darius Slay no longer with the team, look for Mitchell's role to expand a bit and get more recognition for 2024's #1 passing defense.
2025 projected stats: 61 tackles, 2 INTs, 15 PDs
Baun was one of the league's best, if not the best, signings in 2024 and was rewarded with a three-year extension for his performance in that campaign. The linebacker is poised to once again dominate in Vic Fangio's scheme, which may be even scarier in 2025.
2025 projected stats:156 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 INT
Hurts sometimes gets a bad rap from non-Eagles fans, but you cannot deny the results of his play. He may be a "system quarterback," but with a Super Bowl victory under his belt, the critics can call Hurts a lot of things, but they'll need to call him a champion as well.
2025 projected stats: 3,702 yards, 22 TDs, 10 INT (151 carries, 682 yards, 14 TDs)
Brown has been nothing but a top-six WR since coming to the Eagles in one of Howie Roseman's most significant trades, and should continue his success in 2025. Aided by the addition of John Metchie III, not even an injury should slow Brown down in 2025.
2025 projected stats: 91 receptions, 1,341 yards, 8 TDs
Fully developing Mailata has been one of the Eagles' best draft gems this decade. He's turned into a mauling left tackle that has become a poster child for the NFL's international pathway program. Aided by a great supporting cast, Mailata and the Eagles' offensive line should remain one of the top units in the league in 2025.
Many around the league are extremely impressed by Carter's rise, and many also agree that he still hasn't hit his stride. Carter is emerging as one of the more dominant interior defensive linemen in the NFL, and 2025 should be his next opportunity to showcase his skill set.
2025 projected stats: 50 tackles, 5 sacks
The 2024 offseason goes down in the record books for Roseman, between the acquisition of Baun and Barkley. Expected Barkley to have a "down year" only because expecting a running back to have almost 2,600 all-purpose yards is an extremely high ask.
2025 projected stats: 332 carries, 1,600 yards, 11 TDs
Like fine wine, Johnson just keeps getting better with age. Between the Pro Bowls, the All-Pro selections, etc, Johnson is currently emerging as one of the best offensive tackles of his generation since 2013.
