FOXBOROUGH, Mass - When TreVeyon Henderson imagined all the teams that could call him during the 2025 NFL Draft, he didn't have the Patriots high on his list.
And that's because he didn't have much communication with them leading up to the weekend.
"I think I only did one Zoom meeting with the running backs coach," Henderson told reporters on Friday night, referring to Tony Dews. "So, other than that, honestly I had no clue that New England was going to be the spot.
"It was definitely a surprise."
He later added that he couldn't recall ever speaking with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
However, he now gets to join the fellow Ohio State alum.
"I know he's trying to rebuild the culture there. And so, I'm excited," Henderson said of Vrabel. "I'm excited to be a part of what he's looking to accomplish."
And he even gave Patriots fans a little teaser of what they can expect from him.
"I'm fast, I'm explosive, I'm good in one-on-one matchups, my receiving ability, my blocking," he explained. "I pretty much can do it all."
But, what truly made his first press conference as a member of the Patriots memorable, was his hat choice.
Instead of picking New England's draft cap, he decided to rep a throwback one and wore it proudly when speaking with reporters for the first time.

Just wait until he's in the red throwbacks during the season...
