Football Italia can exclusively reveal Manchester City are edging closer to Italy international Gianluigi Donnarumma, approaching a €30m proposal to Paris Saint-Germain.
The negotiations are continuing non-stop between the two clubs, who both trust they can get an agreement sorted out over the next few days.
As we had already reported, the goalkeeper has agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants and given the all clear for this next stage in his career.
Now Manchester City are trying to reach a figure that will please PSG, who pushed Donnarumma out this summer to avoid losing him as a free agent at the end of the season.
The asking price had been originally €45-50m, but Paris Saint-Germain are aware that this is not an ordinary transfer situation with the contract running down.
The offer is now brushing up against the €30m mark and that should be enough to do a deal.
The 26-year-old has always been appreciated by Pep Guardiola and this is finally the opportunity for them to work together.
Donnarumma joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent in 2021 when he allowed his Milan contract to run down.
