Exploring 3 Trades OKC Thunder Could Make Before Deadline

With the NBA trade deadline tomorrow, the Oklahoma City Thunder are in a strong position to make a move.

Sitting atop of the Western Conference, they have the assets and flexibility to upgrade their roster for a deep playoff run.

While already one of the league’s most balanced teams, adding another impact player could elevate them into true championship contention.

Recent trade rumors have linked the Thunder to Kevin Durant, Coby White, and Cameron Johnson each offering a unique skill set that could strengthen their squad.

Durant’s name has surfaced in trade speculation as the Suns explore potential moves. If Phoenix decides to blow up the roster, the Thunder could look to reunite with its former superstar.

Durant remains an elite scorer, and pairing him with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams could make the Thunder instant title favorites. However, acquiring him would require significant assets, including young talent and draft picks.

Chicago Bulls guard Coby White is enjoying a great follow up to his breakout season last year, improving as a scorer, playmaker, and defender. His ability to play both on and off the ball would give the Thunder another dynamic weapon in the backcourt.

After trading Zach Lavine the Bulls look to enter a full rebuild, the Thunder could package draft picks or young players to land White without sacrificing their long-term future.

Brooklyn’s Cameron Johnson would provide the Thunder with another sharpshooter to stretch the floor when the defense collapses on Gilgeous-Alexander.

His floor-spacing would complement Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams while adding depth at the wing position for the playoffs.

With the Nets in rebuild mode, the Thunder could target Johnson for a reasonable price.

With multiple trade options on the table, the Thunder have a chance to bolster their roster and solidify themselves as serious title contenders before the deadline.
