FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT is the next confirmed promo in FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT), marking the program’s first return to the game after it initially debuted during FIFA 22.

Just like RTTF cards, Fantasy FUT items are dynamic objects, which are able to gain upgrades over time if certain conditions are met. These hinge on the performances of players depicted on the cards in their domestic soccer leagues, in the case of this promo.

Here’s everything you need to know about FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT from its start time to how the upgrade system works. We’ve also collected all trustworthy leaks ahead of the official release.

FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT: start time

FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT is starting on March 3, 2023, at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT / 7pm CET. This promo is likely to last two weeks, meaning there’ll be a Team 2 release on March 10 at the same time.

Team 1 and Team 2 will be available in FUT packs for one week after their respective releases. It’s also very probable that the traditional FUT Birthday promo will be up after Fantasy FUT.

FIFA 23 Fantasy FUT: upgrades

As mentioned above, Fantasy FUT cards are dynamic objects, which can receive upgrades over time. Here’s how that works.

Regular Fantasy FUT cards gain a +1 OVR upgrade when:

  • The player makes an appearance during a win in the next six domestic league games of their team.
  • The player makes an appearance in at least three of the next six domestic league games of their team.
  • The player scores two goals or assists in the next six domestic league games of their team (for attackers and midfielder).
  • The player keeps two clean sheets in the next six domestic league games of their team (for defenders and goalkeepers).
  • The player remains undefeated in the next six domestic league games.

FUT Heroes are also included in the promo and gain +1 OVR upgrades when:

  • Their team scores a win in one of its next six domestic league games.
  • Their team remains undefeated in the next six domestic league games.

The upgrade period begins on March 17, 2023, so that’s when the count on those “next six domestic league games” starts.
