Most notable part of players cut was who wasn't on there

Many had wondered whether undrafted rookie Darius Cooper was going to make the Eagles' 53-man roster, and he sure did. It was the one highlight that every Eagles fan had been hoping would happen.

The undrafted rookie out of Tarleton State had a lot of chips stacked up against him with a deep receiver room to compete with. It became clear early on that Cooper was going to be a playmaker.

His six catches for 82 yards and a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals were what helped Cooper seal his roster spot. That and also his work with quarterback Jalen Hurts helps. Towards the end of training camp, Cooper would be pulled from development periods and spend those talking and working with Hurts—a good sign of a rookie working closely with the franchise quarterback.

It was not an easy road for Cooper, but every Eagles fan can be happy to know that he paved his own way and made the team. This is what makes sports great when an underdog story goes the right way.
