Five Serie A players, including Scott McTominay and Lewis Ferguson, have been called up for the Scotland national team games against Denmark and Belarus.
Scotland coach Steve Clarke has called up five Serie A players for World Cup qualifying games against Denmark and Belarus next week.
There are five midfielders: McTominay and Billy Gilmour (Napoli), Ferguson (Bologna), Lennon Miller (Udinese), and Torino striker Ché Adams.
McTominay and Gilmour already made their 2025-26 Serie A debut in Napoli’s 2-0 win over Sassuolo on Saturday.
McTominay scored the very first goal of the new Serie A campaign with a towering header in the first half.
Ferguson, on the other hand, was an unused substitute in Bologna’s 1-0 loss against Roma, also on Saturday.
Miller’s Udinese and Adams’ Torino will play tonight against Verona and Inter, respectively.
Scotland will visit Denmark on Friday, September 5, and Belarus on Monday, September 8.
Scotland have been placed in Group C, which will kick off next week.
