SEC Network analyst/Florida Gators legend Chris Doering had a strong take this week on how he thinks the Tennessee Vols' matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide will play out on Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa.

Doering, who was inducted into the Florida Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006, thinks Alabama will have their way with the Vols in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

"I'm ready to go all in on Alabama in this one," said Doering on Pregaming the SEC. "I think Alabama ends up winning a double digit win for some reason....I was sitting in the bathtub this morning and it hit me that Alabama's going to beat Tennessee down."

"It just struck me how Florida was able to really out physical Tennessee in that September game in the Swamp," added Doering. "Home field advantage matters this year -- more so than I remember in the last couple of seasons here in the conference. So I think I'm going with the Tide at home in T-town."

Doering picked Texas A&M to cruise against Alabama a couple of weeks ago and the Aggies ended up losing at home to the Crimson Tide, so it's not like the former Gator has a good track record when it comes to picking SEC games this season.

But on the flip side, he's right that Tennessee hasn't played well on the road the last couple of seasons. And until the Vols do something to quiet that narrative, it's understandable that analysts continue to pick against Tennessee on the road.

But a beat down? I don't know about that. Alabama hasn't looked like typical Alabama this season. And Tennessee's defense is playing at a high level.

This feels more like a former Gator who just hates Tennessee (and hey, I get it -- SEC rivalries are like that). We'll see how it plays out, but Doering has looked silly already this season thanks to his game picks -- Tennessee fans are hoping that continues this week.
