Former Ohio State Buckeyes star defends his ranking of the Tennessee Vols after overtime loss to the Georgia Bulldogs

Quite a few folks around the country feel better about the Tennessee Vols this week despite UT's heartbreaking overtime loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in Week 3.

Tennessee missed a game-winning field goal at the end of regulation. Georgia was then able to pull out the win in overtime.

The Vols' performance against the Bulldogs showed that Tennessee can play with any team in the country when they're at their best.

Former Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Joey Galloway revealed his current top five teams in college football on Kirk Herbstreit's YouTube channel this wek and he has Tennessee at No. 3.

"Here's why I have Georgia and Tennessee right there together," explained Galloway. "Because if Tennessee hits that field goal [they win], literally. That's how good that game was."

"If Tennessee hits the field goal at the end, everything we're saying about Georgia, we would be saying about Tennessee and the way they played," added Galloway. "And it's crazy the way it feels to people watching a football game. Georgia fans go out [and say], 'We won the game' -- you absolutely did. And Tennessee feels terrible. All on one missed field goal at the end of game [that] flips that entire thing in a game where Tennessee has a lot to be excited about. A lot to be excited about with what they did in that game."
