Jaxson Dart and the rest of his fellow rookies for the New York Giants are kicking off NFL Rookie Minicamp action today through Sunday. The former Ole Miss QB and brand new Giants first round pick may have to wait to officially start games for a while given the quarterback talent in the room, but he no longer has to wait for his jersey number.

The Giants officially released the jersey numbers for their brand new 2025 NFL Draft class as rookie minicamp kicked off Friday and (at least for now) Jaxson Dart will be sporting a new number. He wore the number 2 all throughout college–both at USC and Ole Miss–but now he'll be sporting the number 6.

Fellow first round pick Abdul Carter will be wearing 51, Darius Alexander (DT, Toledo) 91, Cam Skattebo (RB, Arizona State) 44, Marcus Mbow (OL, Purdue) 71, Thomas Fidone (TE, Nebraska) 86, and Korie Black (DB, Oklahoma State) 25–with most of these numbers subject to potentially change.

Giants fans should get ready to see plenty of highlights from Jaxson Dart coming out of rookie minicamp and eventually OTAs as he's always thrived in camp environments dating back to his time as a late rising high four star recruit.

Those who criticized Dart throughout the pre-draft process for scheme concerns and the pro-translation of his game are likely going to receive cool helping of reality poured on their heads as the Giants continue to reveal how well he did with the team ahead of his first round selection (as you can see in part via the post below).

Jaxson Dart finished his final season with the Ole Miss Rebels ranked first in yards per play, first in total yards per game, and top three in QBR, adjusted yards per pass attempt, EPA per play, and passer rating among all FBS college football quarterbacks.

Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston may start the year ahead of Jaxson Dart, but if he gets up to speed quickly fans might be surprised how early he sees the field with a strong showing from rookie minicamp through summer team activities.
