Phoenix Suns guard Damion Lee was not re-signed by the team this offseason, leaving the 32-year-old to head overseas. After a seven-year NBA career, Lee is signing with Israel basketball club Nes Ziona. His new team is in the Israel basketball premier league has 12 teams. Nes Ziona finished 7th last season at 12-14.

Former Suns guard signs with Nes Ziona:

Lee would go undrafted in 2016 and wouldn’t make his NBA debut until March 13th, 2018 with the Atlanta Hawks. After 15 games in A-Town, Lee signed with his brother-in-law Stephen Curry’s team the Golden State Warriors. In four seasons with the Warriors, Lee averaged 8.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and secured a NBA championship in 2022.

After lifting the Larry O’Brien trophy, Lee signed with the Suns and was a solid bench piece, appearing in 74 games and averaging 8.2 points on 44.5% shooting from the 3-point line. However, a rare meniscus injury to his right knee forced him to miss the entire 2023-2024 season. Even after returning, Lee was never the same player, which lead to Phoenix not re-signing the guard and him heading overseas.
