A former Wisconsin football commitment has announced that his recruitment has been shutdown and new commitment has been made.
Jarin Mock, a 2026 three-star quarterback, was one of the original commitments in the class for the Wisconsin football staff. Mock developed a close relationship with former offensive coordinator Phil Longo and primarily committed to the school due Longo.
After the firing of Longo, Mock hung around for a short period of time before the quarterback and the Wisconsin football staff came to a mutual agreement to part ways. Mock took Wisconsin off of his list after reopening his recruitment and quickly became a player many programs wanted.
The talented quarterback holds offers from Wisconsin, Purdue, Liberty, Coastal Carolina, Akron, and Bowling Green among many others.
After parting ways with the Wisconsin football program, Mock quickly became a top target for Bowling Green, who eventually landed the commitment from the quarterback.
Mock has been known to be a strong-armed pocket passer who can light up the scoreboard with his throwing prowess. After the Wisconsin football program moved on from Longo and changed directions on offense, the recruit no longer resembled a fit.
Bowling Green gets a commitment from in-state QB Jarin Mock.
One-time Wisconsin commit. Always has shown a live arm when we have seen him in person.https://t.co/05HylOf45j https://t.co/2fdwsovQ36

Mock will now join the pass-happy MAC which is a move that ultimately could benefit both parties greatly. The quarterback plays his best football in the pocket and dominates when throwing the football downfield is what the team needs. Mock is a great fit within the Bowling Green offense and could blossom around the program with the right assistance.
