Marcus Thuram and Petar Sucic stole the spotlight in last night’s Serie A day-one clash between Inter Milan and Torino.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the two inspired the Nerazzurri to an emphatic 5-0 win on matchday one.

Cristian Chivu enjoyed a remarkable Serie A debut as Inter Milan manager.

Indeed, the San Siro giants swept Torino aside with a statement win at the start of the new league campaign.

Marcus Thuram and Petar Sucic laid the groundwork for Inter’s dominant victory.

After a lackluster form toward the end of last season, Thuram returned to his best in Chivu’s first Serie A game in charge.

In addition to putting clear daylight between the sides in the first half, he put the game out of Torino’s reach after the break.

Indeed, Thuram earned the ‘Man of the Match’ award for his match-winning double.

Meanwhile, Sucic slotted in for the suspended Hakan Calhanoglu and impressed.

The 21-year-old set up Thuram for Inter’s second goal and pulled all the strings from deep in midfield.
