Trainer Robert Garcia sat down for the Mr. Verzace Podcast to discuss the biggest fights and fighters in the sport, covering topics from his confidence in Bam Rodriguez against Naoya Inoue to the blueprint for beating Shakur Stevenson.

Garcia opened up about his early days in boxing and how his father shaped his path to becoming one of the sport's most respected cornermen, as well as his work with brother Mikey Garcia and what led both to retire from the ring relatively young.

Garcia Assesses Ortiz-Ennis And Rodriguez-Inoue

On Vergil Ortiz Jr.'s prospects against Jaron Ennis following the former's win over Xander Zayas, Garcia weighed in on whether his fighter has what it takes to dethrone the IBF welterweight champion. He also addressed whether Ortiz will stay at 154 pounds or move up to middleweight soon.

Garcia gave an update on the potential clash between Inoue and Rodriguez, expressing his belief that Rodriguez can beat the unified super bantamweight king. He also made the case for Sebastian Fundora and shared his thoughts on the Anthony Joshua situation after the fallout between the heavyweight and his previous trainer.

The interview touched on Tyson Fury's future and which fighter Garcia would most want to train if he could add anyone to his stable. Garcia also laid out what he sees as the strategy to defeat the elusive Stevenson.
