Georgia Bulldogs star center Jared Wilson showed some love for Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson at the 2025 NFL Combine this week.
Wilson was asked to name his top three offensive linemen in the NFL right now, and Johnson was the first name to come to his mind.

"Let's go, Lane Johnson," Wilson said. "Man, he's consistent. Consistent at every single time."
As a six-time pro bowler and four-time All-Pro, Johnson is very well-known for his consistency and durability across the NFL and is a major reason why the Eagles have had such a dominant offensive front for so long.
Wilson coming to Philly would not be surprising since the Eagles are fans of Kirby Smart's Georgia products. Of course, the Eagles don't need a center after Cam Jurgens did a beautiful job replacing Jason Kelce this past year. But, nobody is better at bringing out the versatility in offensive linemen than offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland.
It's also worth noting that Wilson does have experience playing guard, and the Eagles had a formal meeting with him at the combine, per Chase Senior.
Wilson has a bright future being just as reliable as Johnson at the next level after a successful 2024 season with the Bulldogs, where he didn't allow a single sack. He then followed that up with an impressive NFL Combine, where he ran a 4.84 40-yard dash.

Wilson is strongly projected to be the first center taken off the draft board on Day 2 or Day 3 come March. He has been heavily linked to the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles Rams, and the San Francisco 49ers in mock drafts.
As for Johnson, the Eagles will get at least two more years out of the 35-year-old tackle, who confirmed he was not ready to retire ahead of the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX win and is under contract with the Birds until 2026.
